Intake depression.
Ok here it is i bought an 2005 subaru wrx with less than 30,000 miles on the motor iv had it for bout 3 months.i researched proformance parts for it an decided to start with an intake. So i was at the local auto zone and came across an air filter from RE Works mad by APC.So icustom built a short ram intake and instaulled i let the run for a while. Then took it for a spin.I can hear the stock turbo spool up faster and the stouck BOV was loud.then i stared to notice when i slow down my rpms would drop to damn near zero.So i ran a diagnostic test on it and it turnned out that Bank 1 was running lean.So my conlusion was that i was getting to much air and not enough fuel.So now i migght have to suck it up an after market one before that happens i need some input do i do bigger injeters (sti) or acess port an remap the ecu ,or bigger fuel pump

Did you reset your OEM ECM after the install and let it learn the new set-up?

Your better off keeping the stock air box and getting rid of the factory snorkel and drop an after market panel filter. You can invest in a Samco or Perrin Intake Charge Pipe that come in red, black and blue for just like $90.

I'm pretty sure that the Cobb intake is compatable with most applications as well as with the Accessport (get a protune if you do, just to be safe)and Cobb states that their intake system unlike the others, forces the air to travel straight like the factory air intake system so the MAF sensor doesn't get misreadings resulting in poor performance. I am not a pro-intake guy but if I were to buy one the Cobb or the SPT intake systems would be my choice. I believe that having an aftermarket intake system is only worth something if your throwing down a lot of whp, otherwise your wasting your money. Panel filter, elbow delete and intake charge pipe is the way to go in my opinion.
