Installing STI innercooler in reg. WRX
Has anyone installed an STI innercooler into a reg WRX. I found cheep used innercooler out of an 04STI. I have an 03WRX anyone have a clue how hard or if it would work?? If so directions on how to install it..
The install won't take long at all. But just so you know, you probably won't notice much of a performance difference because you still have the stock turbo pushing the same amount of boost. If you threw an aftermartet turbo in there, then you'd reap all the benefits.

These guys haven't done the reading they're telling you to do...
This is what I learned when thinking about getting one of these.
The USDM STi IC requires that you use the USDM STi brackets (or modify yours) to properly mount it.
The JDM STi IC (which is also bigger), bolts in perfectly. Go figure.

If you're planning to mod further...it's not a waste. But in terms of bang for the buck, you won't really feel much on the stock turbo with stock boost. And you definitely won't feel anything from IC hoses.

I also had found a USDM STI with only 500 miles on it. I found it from other member in the other forum and he was asking for $320 shipped. Since I noticed that I couldn't drop it it directly. I let it go. If you really want the intercooler, go with JDM.
