installed stock BOV on, but plugged recirc hose...
i installed MY STOCK bov ON, but plugged the recirc hose because i had to cut it a little short because of the kit for the WRX.
when i installed the stock bov back on, IDLE was quite low and car was kind of flucuating at idle sometimes.
i put stock one back on because i had to order a new GReddy TYPE S because they forgot some stuff when i ordered it.
is the reason why the car idles because of the recirc hose being plugged up? please let me know anyone, thank you

no it's not the recirc hose being plugged. that won't pass any air under normal conditions of idle.
you don't want to kill the bolts holding the bov on... they thread into an aluminum IC. how chewed up was the gasket?
to test the bov itself, put a plug in the outlet of the bov and see if the idle improves.
are you sure all your IC hoses are well-clamped?

the bolts on the INTERCOOLER are not over tightened, i was just thinking maybe i did not tighten it too much.
it is very HARD to plug the stock bov when its on cause it is facing downward..... ill try to put the GReddy one back on, but i dont feel like taking on and off the BOVs from the itnercooler..... ****...

anyone know why idle was be a little rough if the recirc hose is not attached to the stock BOV. mine is not attached because with the GReddy BOV kit for the wrx, you need to cut the recirc hose to install a pipe to vent the air from the BOV
but my GReddy BOV was defective so i had to put back the stock one but when i did i just remembered the hose was cut and now my idle is flucuating from almost 100rpm to 500rpm.
is this because of the recirc hose not attached?
anyone know? please advise, thanx everyone!

While the car is idling try removing the vacum line to the stock BOV and see if it gets better (do not drive it like this!).
Some stock setups actually are designed to allow some air into the system at idle.

engine is now back to the stock BOV, engine is running perfect except when AC is on, i get a SUPER SLIGHT squeeking from AC belt, getting that checked and
for some reason, at idle when i give it some gas , as soon as rpms get down to like 1500rpm, i hear a little squel from my exhaust, kinda weird!!!!
