Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

I've never heard of 'Igens', sorry. Do you have a specific link to Easystreet's mention of the intercooler?

I don't? A friend of mine used to work for them back in '98 when they were first starting up. They make decent intakes and other ish, but they don't know much about tuning the WRX. Have they done as much R&D as APS? I'd get a Trust or Blitz FMIC before the injen. Easystreet probably used their FMIC, because they got paid by Injen to.

Ok fine 1998 that's six years ago I would hope that they would make some positive moves and diversify their products. I think it would be safe to say that if they didn't do a good work they would be out of business. As far as Easystreet is concerned they use MRT and various or companies performance parts thats part of business, if the product was bad they wouldn't use it. It would be bad for business think about.

no matter what fmic you get, you will have to trim the bumper. There's no gettin around it.

Also, there are larger fmic's out there that don't lose the fogs also.

Injen does say that their core is sufficient to handle what most are going o put them through. Might be an idea to call them up and ask though as to what the specs are on the product. Good thing about their FMIC is that you can keep the stock bumperbeam. Bad thing... it is pretty much one of the..if not the smallest fmic out there.

Not trying to make an extra 100 plus hp I like the reliability and the way it drives. because I'm older I don't like the attention I get from the rookies racers in parking lots etc. So Im getting rid of the hood and wing for stockers more like the BMW M3 look fast but not looking to different from the 330i, "sleeper" . So I have to go to a FMIC but I'm going to stay near stock I may install my VF34 Deadbolt P&P and reflash if there is too much lag we will see but the larger FMIC will difinitely cause more lag than I can stand. AND NO THE FACTORY HOOD , TRUNK W/WING ,WATER SPRAYER,AND TMIC ARE NOT FOR SALE.

You probably already know this, but the OEM subaru hoods w/o the scoop are substantially more heavy than the WRX and STi hoods as they are not aluminim. I would reccomend a Carbon fiber hood painted to match. Just my .02
