Exclamation I Got Gas

My car is running too rich. My car is white and has a brown rear bumper. It has a stock fuel system, Injen intake, Gruppe-S up pipe, HKS down, Apexi N1 cat back, 9.5 lb flywheel, and ACT clutch. Took it into shop and read error code for too rich. I was thinkin about putting on a adjustable fuel pressure regulator and turning it down a lil. Any ideas?

I'm no expert but try ditching the intake. From what I've read on the board those can make your car run rich. My $.02.

Scott@S-Squared I have the stock intake. And with the airbox removed it does run richer than with it installed.. I think you have it figured out!

Your correct , kinda, about putting on a higher flowing intake. This will deliver more air. The problem is that the MAF sensor gets fooled and sends an inaccurate signal to the ECU which in turn richenes the mixture

Is there any other way to trick the MAF into running a little leaner? Or would it just be easier to use an adjustable fuel pressure regulator?

some kind of engine management system, i.e. utec. adjustable pressure is askin for trouble...... to do it right you also need EGT + air fuel gauges

Increase your boost and you will run leaner.
