Hoses that make HP

I know that I/C and turbo inlet hoses are supposed to make a bit more power. How much more power? What about the samco maf? just for show? What are the benefits of radiator hoses and the 9 piece samco set?
Thanks,
Grant

They make minimal power. . .maybe 5-10 if they're tuned. The whole point is to smooth out the air flow. The turbo inlet hose did help with spool up and throttle response on my car though. As for the Samco MAF hose, that is there to smooth out air flow as well as it replaces the accordian piece between the intake box and turbo inlet hose. The radiator hoses and 9-piece set are mainly for reliability/durability issues. The stock hoses should be fine for a while, but most people replace them either for looks or when they're stock hoses need replacement.

Not to mention, they're easier to work with than the stock hoses.
