Hole in stock intercooler
Hole in stock intercooler
There's a hole in my intercooler on one side of the 2 hoses. right underneath where the bolt connects there's a hole and I'm getting no boost... I put some JB weld on it to patch the hole up but it's still leaking and it sounds like my car wants to die but it's forcing itself to run.. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Anthony
Also, underneath where the 2 pieces of the manifold connect together, one of the bolts is stripped and the nut is stuck on there.. so it's loose right there and there's no way to tighten it or loosen it to get it off. I've tried virtually everything except cutting it. The only problem is there is not enough of the bolt to cut it successfully..
Thanks,
Anthony

hi Anthony,
The easy answer here is to replace the intercooler. Either with a stock replacment or with an upgraded unit. How did your intercooler get damaged??? Car accident? Remove for repair of some other part? From what your describing sounds like some funny things have been going on under the hood of your car.
If your going to stay stock, then just get a stock intercooler....
If your going to upgrade then start now....
Nick
PS I do have a mint stock intercooler from an 02 if interested.
