you'll definately smell stuff after install because of the 2 cats removed....It'll basically smell like when you turn on the car in the morning to let it warm up, except that the smell will still be like that even after your car is running for awhile.

also, I've heard the hks downpipe doesn't increase your hp as some of the better downpipes such as perrin or helix. You get what you pay for I guess.

Everyone knows that the HKS downpipe is not the best downpipe, but it's better than nothing, for around $150 it's a steal. And I've also heard that you can make the HKS pipe better, I forgot what you did, but it was in one of these forums.

i have hks downpipe on my car and i am sure you will feel the different as i did. alot of ppl have been saying how the hks dp is not well designed but you can always do what JspecGC8 said to make the hks dp better and still be cheaper then other dp.

actually the hks dp does pretty well at high boost. i have one in my rex, and you are able to feel a difference at a higher boost in my opinion. but as much as i like my hks, im still gonna get a pmd or perrin dp. its damn expensive though.

use lots and lots of wd-40...and for performance, i once had the hks downpipe...you will definitely feel an increase in power...i thought about doing the divorced wastegate mod on the hks but i decided to just buy a bosal dp...the bosal dp has a divorced wastegate and it really does make a difference...i just love how my 2nd gear pulls with the bosal.

Orly,
Are you running the stock 3rd cat with the bosal dp? If so then you're saying that a divorced dp which removes just one cat (bosal) feels stronger than a flat flange dp which removes both cats (HKS).
Thanks,
Dean

p.s. dude you have a PM.
