Hks Bov

As far as blow off valves go, will they actually hurt the performance of your car? I am looking into getting an HKS BOV for my 02 sedan, and I was wondering if it is going to negatively effect my performance. I know that it isnt going to help any, just give it that sound, but either way I wanted to know if it might actually hurt the performance of my car. I have a catless uppipe, catless downpipe and borla hush exhaust. Any advice would be appreciated.

adds alittle lag but not noticable. i have hks ssqv(the new cool looking one ) I love the bov sound though so it's a must have for me.

my friend has an rx8 and he is thinking of supercharging it or turbocharging it.. he's leaning toward turbo b/c of the bov!

just put the recirc fitting that comes with it on so that way you dont have that big of a turbo lag. cause what itll do is blow the air off and then the turbo sill have to respool up. that really the only bad thing about bovs vice recirc..... also people get kinda frustrated if you shift and their windows are open hahaha oooppppsss - rollin in the 808 state-

Besides the turbo lag your car will run rich too, Subarus are meant to have recirculating BOV's for a reason!!! If you want sound just remove the intake silencer or get a Cobb intake.
