Help with burning smell from engine

Hey guys,
There is a burnt smell that is pretty strong coming from my engine into the cabin.
It usually happens when I start accelerating from a stop.. for ex., driving from a stoplight.. usually 1st through 2nd and 3rd, the smell usually becomes noticeable.
I don't think I am shifting wrong, or anything.. so could it be the clutch burning?

Look at your CV boots. Occasionally, if you get a tear in a front CV boot it will throw grease up on the bottom of the engine, which will cook it, making a terrible "burning dinosaur" smell.

Well i checked the cv boots. they seem to be fine.
I took the car out for a short drive and popped the hood.. the burning smell is coming from the top left on the engine bay where the turbo and manifold are. I also saw some smoke coming out from there, but just for a little bit and couldn't pinpoint where it was coming from. Any ideas?
I think I am going to take it to a shop tomorrow to find out.

Let's hope it isn't an oil leak on the turbo. You can get a full-on fire from that.

I took it to a shop. They found the problem to be a leaking valve cover gasket.. so the oil is dripping out and burning.. thats where the smoke and smell is coming from.
