Traditionally the up pipe won't give you that much HP, if any for that matter, however it will give you increased / sooner spool. The helix flex is a very good option for it will decrease the chances of leakage in comparison with a non flex cheaper one. And leakage will rob you of spool and valuable hp. If you havent done so may I recommend a downpipe, devorced wastegate or bellmouth design to be installed at the same time. The DP has to be disconnected to do the UP install so you mide as well do it while your there; and you will notice a HP increase from this.

ok. Then you want to concentrate on the DP. Pay attention to the bellmouth of devorced wastegate designs, not sure if the helix offers this in there DP, they will provide you with the most HP due to least amount of tubulence for wastegate exhaust.... they cost a bit more but if you ultimatly plan on replacing the turbo then this is definitly a good way to go for maximizing flow.

The only thing negative that ive heard regarding the helix products is some fitmeant issues othther than that they are rocken.

If you do it yourself dont forget to get new gaskets for both the manifold side and turbo side of the UP.... and the turbo side of the DP.... to replace the crushed once you'll be removing. You'll cut your leakage potential in half if you do this... even with the flex section worken for ya.

O and if your not machanically inclined...... its not as easy as it looks....the UP that is.. the DP is easy.

good luck.

One more for the Helix products!!! Its a great price and a great product. Everyone I know who has looked at these pieces loves them! I have it installed on my 02 wagon and love it! Enjoy and do your self a favor and install both at the same time. I got mine from Gruppe-s for a good price.

Cheers and happy driving!

Helix is a 3" downpipe while the stock is 2.5" so you'd need an adapter or some welding to make it work.

A PDE downpipe is 2.5" at the end though and should bolt up.
