dont mean to get side track but which muffler that works with the helix catback will make the car the quiestest, but still have the same power or doesnt significantly take away the power? i wanna know if u can get the helix catback and change the muffler so its quieter without taking the power away, is that possible?

borla hush muffler? u can just add that to the helix catback, like take the muffler and replace it with the borla hush one right? ill go look that up, and its the quietest one? im just wondering for my own knowledge, thanks for the reply.
I don't think its that loud. Of course comparing it to a Blitz Nur Spec is like apples to watermelons or something. My friend with just a Blitz Catback sounds more loud than my Gruppe-S Header, Helix Uppipe/Downpipe/Catback setup.
I noticed a lot of difference from stock to my setup. I drove my friend's car with the Blitz Catback and it doesn't have that "punch" when you floor it. It feels like it gradually gets faster. The Helix Uppipe + Turboback is a good exhaust for the money. I have the catless set up. Everyone else says its pretty loud. I don't think so, but maybe I'm just used to it.

SkylineR35GTRx- Borla only offers the Hush Exhaust system as a Catback. To maximize the gains from a Helix Up/Downpipe combo, mating it to a catback w/ 3" piping is the best route (compared to mating it to a stock mid-pipe, then an aftermarket axleback). You're welcome to drop on by the shop so I can let you hear how a WRX sounds w/ a Helix Up/Downpipe & Borla Hush exhaust (setup on my car).

wow thanks for the offer, but im not planning on buying any of this stuff soon, i dont even have a wrx =(, its just something thats nice to know if iever buy a car a mod it and if i start to do that, im going to mpj for sure!, and if i mod it i dont want something really loud u know. so yoou have the helix up and down and borla hush catback? its the dual tip one right? i was wondering if you could get the helix catback, with the midpipes and all but change the axle back, but i guess thats too much trouble for the money and power anyways, and does the borla hush come with silencers? like..does it noticable bring the sound down without effecting performance?

XkrazyAsianX- come on over anytime on Tuesday if like. Or on Wednesday, before we work on your car, I'd be more than happy to fire up my car to let you hear how it sounds like.
SkylineR35GTRx- when you get your WRX, my offer still stands. The Borla Hush is indeed a twin-tip exhaust and no, it does not come w/ silencers. It is the muffler design itself that makes the Borla Hush quiter than most exhausts w/o sacrificing performance. As for swapping axlebacks, it would be more cost effective to just buy an Up/Down pipe combo and mate it to a proper aftermarket Catback instead of mixing and matching pipes/ axlebacks.

stromung makes a nice cat-back (complete turboback for that matter) that looks almost stock with twin tips, 3" piping, and is very quiet except at full throttle.
