Helix DP vs. Perrin DP
Hey guys,
Newbie here.
I currently have a pretty loud/stinky exhaust setup on the 2005 WRX I just bought. I currently have a Megan uppipe, Megan catless downpipe (bell-mouth), and a Greddy Ti-C catback.
I want to replace the entire setup.
I just bought a Borla Hush catback.
I'm searching for the best catted downpipe I can get for less than $400.
(I'm on a slight budget.)
I've found two catted downpipes in the $350-$375 range:
1) Helix High-Flow Catted Downpipe (bell-mouth design)
2) Perrin High-Flow Catted Downpipe (split-mouth/divorced design)
I know the differences between bell-mouth and divorced/split mouth.
I am running COBB Stage 2, with all stock internals and stock turbo.
I NEVER plan on upgrading the stock turbo, so from what I've gathered regarding bell-mouth and divorced, there really isn't a huge difference for me.
I'm more concerned about fitment and quality of construction between these two. Sound is also a consideration...I'd like a more mellow or quiet note.
Which DP would you guys recommend and why?
Thanks!

I have a helix catted. fitment was not so great but the price was decent.
i say if you are on a budget and don't mind the small issues with fitment then get the helix. but if money is not an issue get the perrin.

I would have to say get the Perrin catted downpipe definitley.
The quality of the piping in good and you will not have a problem
with fitment.
I had a Helix catted downpipe before and the fitment wasn't good
so,I changed it out for a Cobb catted downpipe and I love it fitment
is perfect and the quality of the piping is excellent.
