Question Helix DP problem

So this weekend i installed my Helix DP and after the install turned on my car and let it idle for 10 mins. Reved it up to hear and feel any leaks. Didnt hear or feel anything. Than i took my car out for quick spin. Pulled out of the drive way put my foot on the gas, thats when i started to hear a whistle thought to myself its probably a leak. got back home and put ALOT of silicone gasket on the flanges. Drove it and still heard the same thing. Today i took my car to a shop to have it checked and there were no leaks anywhere on the downpipe. It only whistles when i press on the gas. Sounded like the turbo but its not.
So far i had an HKS up-pipe installed last summer had no leaks before. I dont seem to be losing boost. Wheres is coming from could it just be my exhaust tips?

you just got rid of 2 cats... that noise is either a leak you didn't find or the sound of the turbo/exhaust resonating inside the DP like a tin can. If that's the case then it's normal. Think about it... you just free'd up all that space.

how much of a whistle is it? you are able to hear the turbo spool a mile away without cats. are you sure its not that? otherwise it sounds like a leak. did you replace all the gaskets when you did the swap?

its kinda like a bubbling whistle or kinda sounds like the jetsons car. I know its not the turbo because i can hear the turbo spool up at about 2,000 rpms and the whistle happens when i hit the throttle.

Trying to keep this topic active...

On that note it may be your wastegate fluttering What type of BOV you have? just a thought... next time you post list all your mods.

If the leaks have been singled out then it has to be the fact you've freed all that space by ditching 2 cats. there's nothing else it could be. It's just the sound of the turbo, motor and whatever else bouncing off the interior walls of the DP like a tuning fork. When i had my TXS DP (one of the biggest on the market) i had this same issue and in fact had a small leak at the turbo....i can't remember if you said you changed gaskets to new ones or not.

Ok so you have a GFB stealth set at 100%. try adjusting the spring tension for the wastegate...that might take care of the "bubbling noise".Even try adjusting the BOV to 0% and see if it does it then. The other whistle noise sounds normal unless it's very loud and annoying, in that case you have a leak that you aren't aware of inside the gaskets.

Im guessing its probably normal since most of the noise supression is gone. I'll just have to get used to it. Thanks for the help.
