Helix Downpipe w/high flow cat....?

Hey guys, Ive seen some adds on some webpages like gruppeS and so on, about Helix putting out a D/P with a cat. I have the helix flex uppipe with the borla hush exhaust and I would like to get a D/P. But I would also like to keep one of my cats because here in Jersey, I think there very strict about these things. So, if I could get some feedback about this product that would be great...

You should also examine your local laws. Here in most CA counties, it isn't enough to have a downpipe that retains a cat. The OEM cats are not supposed to be replaced except when very specific criteria are met.

In california, if you mess with the stock emissions in any way, it is illegal.

The good and bad thing about the wrx is that it has 3 cats. If you take off the up pipe and down pipe cats, you still have 1 more cat. If the cops see one cat, they probably wont bother you. Its still illegal, but you wont get busted by the cops.

so by buying the helix d/p with the high flow cat would not be something to consider if I would like to replace my d/p but still keep atleast 1 cat?

If you only want to keep one cat, then keep the one in your mid pipe. Buy an up pipe/down pipe. What year is your car? I have an 04' and have been wanting to get a helix up pipe and down pipe, but I'm worried about voiding my warranty.

For maximum performance from both stock and upgraded turbo, yes.
