Greddy TI-C catback
Is anyone else running this exhaust? I'm wondering anyone has welded an extra resonator to bring down that mean *** growl. I'm running the silencer but it is really having some boost lag now, obviously due to the diameter. Anyways, just wanted to know if it's worth running another resonator. Thanks
ummmm..... your talking about the Greddy Titanium exhaust? most people buy this exhaust for weight reduction and power. if your concerned about the noise, then maybe you should trade it out? if you wanna weld a resonator to it, then by all means go ahead. i just think its a waste since you already spent 600+ for that exhaust. maybe you could install your stock cat-back and add a cutout?

I would have bought something else but got it for under $500.00 new. And i got it for the looks. I will probably due a resonator, but if it doesn't make a difference in Dbs , then whats the point. I definitely will not trade it. or change it.

One other thing. Welding titanium requires someone with real skill. Especially if the materials aren't the same (catback and resonator), you'll probably have problems. You would probably be better off with a high-flow cat and aggressive uppipe with cat to lower noise. I have the RSR turbo-back with equal-length headers and it's probably considerably louder at idle than your's is at full throttle. It's all relevant. I looked at that exhaust but couldn't get definitave information on the fit for a WRX vs STI. I honestly think my exhuast is too loud, but in Alabama it's been all good. I've been here 9 months and have one ticket (98 in a 45, marked down to 43 mph) and two warnings, because they heard me but couldn't get a lock on me. Knocking on wood right now. PM me details on your exhaust if you don't mind. Later.

I have this exhaust too... why would you put a resonator on it?? it sounds great without it.. deep and throaty. besides thre resonator would restrict the performance. If you want something quiet get a borla hush.
can someone help me really fast, im trying to get an exhaust... well uppipe and down pipe, i wanna make it deep n mean but look stock, would a good 1 be an invidia uppipe and something else? or ERZ up n down pipe? plz respond asap! the bid is ending in 15 hours, haha thankyou

get a high quality stainless resonator with some sort of ceramic packing. can be welded in by almost any muffler shop and will help get rid of the rasp but still keep the throaty sound. Won't really hurt your power, despite what you've heard.

If you are looking for a quiet exhaust the Borla "hush" catback
or the stock catback will do you just fine.
The whole reason behind installing a aftermarket catback is to
increase exhaust flow so,skip the idea of the resonator because
you will be defeating your purpose.
