GFB Stealth BOV problem

I just installed my GFB Stealth BOV onto my 2002 WRX. The sound at 100% atmospheric isnt quite as loud as my old HKS, but i kinda figured that. Anyway, when im at partial throttle, the bov can be heard and the engine responds the way it should. BUT, when im at full throttle, no matter what the rpm, i hear a "soft sounding mass of air" with no "whoosh" and my rpms jump up about 1k. Sounds kinda like im misshifting, but im not.

I'm thinking that its my spring setting, but im not exactly sure. Anyone got any thoughts on this? Any help is greatly appreciated!
