What sort of results? More horsepower, or smiles on the driver's face between shifts? I'm betting it was the latter, heh

I don't think that by itself it will add hp, but with a manual boost control it allows for more PSi so inturn you get less turbo lag and more hp too. I can atest for this becuase my friend got a greddy type s BOV on his 99 GS-t and it was incredible the difference! He is running 18 psi right now and it has awesome torque!

what kind of PSI are you running? got any pics of it in your engine???

what is the highest safe PSI to run on the stock turbo? 17/18? also what is the rating of psi this GFB can hold? how about the stock BOV?

Iridium plugs are not ideal for high performance engines. Stick to NGK coppers, part # BRK7ES-11

ok guys, i dont care what the car felt like after you put the atmospheric BOV on, it did NOT enhance the performance of your car in any way.
boost will come on the same b/c that is only judged by the flow of the exhaust, and the placement of the wastegate.
all the BOV does is enhance looks, and sound. all it is there for is to turn heads.
a MBC will deffinately show performance mods b/c it allows the turbo to spool faster, this is b/c it keeps the wastegate completely closed until max boost is reached, whereas the stock boost controler starts to open the wastegate at 8psi causing a longer gap between 0 and full boost.
although i would personally not go w/ any kind of boost controler b/c the wrx fuel system needs to be dealt w/ too.
my advice would be to save the money, and buy a turboxs utec, or vishnu tune ecu, which will SAFELY increase hp drastically over stock.

I kinda chuckle whenever i hear sumone driveby or hear sumone talkin of BOVs. I think they're pointless besides the noise. i have become to get annoied with the sound after less than two weeks of the sound. It does attract the fly hunnies down the street but also the white and blues. Doesnt do anything for performance and some times can negatively effect it if not properly set and installed. might as well take a driving class or like many have said b4 "uppipe or downpipe". I'd like to see some effidence of the turbo spoolin quicker with BOVs...NE1?
