If you haven't gone to an upgraded turbo and injectors, you won't need the Walbro fuel pump upgrade. Use forum search, keyword 'walbro'. The WRX fuel pump is located in the gas tank.

usually a turbo, tuning, injectors, fuel rails and a fuel pump go together...like WW said you dont need it

I agree with the other guys if you don't have any major mods like a turbo you don't need the extra pressure.

if you have stock injectors and a stock turbo you definately don't need it...i have heard of people using the stock turbo and STI injectors and said is runs really smooth...

The tank does not need to be 'dropped'...the FP assembly is accessed through a plate in the trunk, passengers side-foreword.

I have found it easier to remove the rear seat and work from there, rather than throught he trunk.
