The wastegate will open at about .5 bar/ 7 lbs. , what you are seeing. Some type of external boost control is needed to bleed off pressure from the wastegate line to allow higher levels of boost.

factory is around 14 psi and drops down to about 8-9 when you get to about 6000 rpm +

i'd break in the engine first (1500 SOFT EASY miles) before dumping in go fast goodies
