Exhaust Manifold
Hmmm someone told me if you upgrade the exhaust manifold you lose low end torque? WTF? haha and something about retaining heat? Isnt heat bad? i know an upgraded manifold will help mid - high range power but shouldnt it just help everywhere period?

It depends on which exhaust manifold you get. Some manifolds are designed to increase low end torque and some are designed for mids and highs. An exhaust that retains heat is benificial. If you do get an manifold, be sure to get a heat wrap for it. The heat inside the pipes allows the exhaust to flow better. Anyone want to elaborate?

Whee! Fun with thermodynamics! Here's the deal. Heat is energy (the atomic-level kinetic energy of vibrating particles). The more heat in your exhaust gasses, the more energetic they are. This energy is transferred to the blades of the turbine in the hot side of the turbo and causes it to spin. The more energy in the gas (i.e. the hotter the gas), the more energy will be given to the spinny thing (turbine) in the turbo. W00t. This causes faster spoolup, which is something we could all use.
Summary - Heat = Energy = Turbo go whirrrrrrr.
