Great choice in the TBE, as for the installing, its pretty easy as long as you have the right tools. For example, a good socket for the bolts and to make it easier WD40 the bolts beforehand. But i did it without so i believe you'll be okay. Is pretty straight forward is only 9 bolts total that are holding up the downpipe.

I had mine on for about a month or so before I got it tuned and it was fine. Just dont drive it super hard......but over all the TurboXS turbo back is a good choice.

I believe running the TBE without tune is fine. Its only if you change the uppipe, thats what really needs the tune. The reason? i dunno hahaha. But for my 03 I have the TBE on my car for 3-4 month without a tune and its doing fine. But with the tune you'll get more out of the mod ^.^

same with wrx>civic, i ran my turbo back for couple months without tune. but i got the cobb AP after because i didnt want to take any chances with killing my engine. just as long as you dont drive like a maniac without your tune i believe it wont hurt much. but getting a tune with your tbe will unleash full power of the mod.

I wouldnt take any chances running it without at least some sort of engine management. you will raise your boost levels by using a turboback and the stock ecu isnt set up for that.
