Which exhaust?

I am looking to get exhaust for my 04 WRX, which brand should I go for?

I am lloking for a turboback for around $900.

My buddy can hook me up with NEW Turbo XS RFL TI turboback for $950!!

IS there anything elses out there that is comperable quality for maybe less?

Or should I just peice together a system, HKS dp, and som other cat back.

Let me know
Thanks
Rich

Yes, you can get a full helix turboback (with uppipe) for the same price (possibly less) $950 at Gruppe-S

Both are very loud though.

Why?
because usually aftermarket downpipe have divorsed or bellmouth design to create higher exhaust flow and minimized back-pressure, but HKS doesn't

the HKS DP uses the same design as the stock DP. the wastegate exhaust hits a wall and then has to make a 90 degree turn to merge w/ the exhaust from the turbine wheel. its just a waste of money. get a downpipe like a Helix that has a huge bell mouth to allow unrestricted flow of the the exhaust from the wastegate.

Thanks for the sugestions. Yeah I noticed that the HKS dp doesn't have the bell mouth design.

One other thing, I don't want to have VERY loud exhaust, I do a lot of highway driving.

WHat would be your recomedaton?

Not meaning to hijack the thread, but can anyone recomend a single tip cat back system that is nearly as quiet as the stocker or the borla hush?
