Engine build up help??
Engine build up help??
i was wondering if anyone acan throw in any helpful knowledge about this. To keep this as simple as possible, what differences would there be between a stock ej20 wrx engine compared to a USDM STI shortblock with forged internals and chromoly rods with WRX heads.
The car would have a TBE and an upgraded turbo, just not sure which turbo yet.
My main problem right now is that i dont know how much power some injectors can put out before maxing out. I'm only looking to use JDM pink injectors but I would consider using PE 650 injectors depending on the gas mileage.
1)Can anyone tell me how much power the 2 of these injectors can put out before coming CLOSE to maxing out?
2) Can anyone tell me what turbos would be good for 325 - 350 WHP with the least amount ofl lag as possible?
I was pretty set on the vf34 but the output may not be enough. Would sending the VF34 to Deadbolt and port and polishing help it out? I have no experience with the other turbos out there so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

With the VF34 all you would need is to run pinks and you would never run a 34 on a built 2.5 shortblock with ported wrx heads; only on a pretty much stock 2.0 really. Your initial question is confusing.
The differences between the two engines you listed is power reliability. Both can make great power but the built motor will make much more and live much longer at those power levels... e.g. in excess of 400-450whp and in some cases more than 500.
If you have access to a built motor and are considering your turbo options for it you also need to consider engine managament.
Ulitmate Racing and Kingping have had some great success with there gt35r kits I would do some research on thier website's to find out more specific information. However if your just running a stock WRX right now I would look into, do a search, a mod ugrade path before you get to your turbo.... e.g. 1) turbo back exhaust 2) up-pipe 3) samco IC hoses 3) Ecutek reflash for EM. The last thing you want to do is throw a turbo on your car without taking the proper steps.
In any case to answer your turbo question, for a stock WRX get the 18g with superzilla treatment from Jerry at Deadbolt, the PE650's walbro 255 Fuel pump..... get the spearco TMIC get it installed at a place that can do your tune right there after the install .... take my word for it you'll be rocking....
