ECU Codes
Hey guys, so I just did my 60K service and came out to be $605.84 which still seems a little high even though I asked them to EXCLUDE some things like spark plugs, oil, oil filter, air intake filter, etc. Labor was 459.85, parts were 102.85, rental was 33.11 and then tax was 10.03. That seem about right to you guys? I guess the parts seem right because spark plugs weren't included but i'm not sure. What you guys think?
I also noticed on the work order that there is a 39.76 charge for a quantity of 4 items at 9.94 an item. I asked the guy at the counter what that was and he had no idea. I was a little frustrated so I just said I'd figure it out. The part number is K0323AA093A GL5/75-90. Anybody know that those are and why I need 4 of them? Just curious kuz he didn't include a check list with the 60K service, so I'll have to go back tomorrow and ask for it or a copy.
OKAY, so back to the original reason I opened this post.
Last tuesday my CEL came on and I kept driving it until today because my tech friend would look at it when he was doing the service.
Two codes came up as P0245 - Turbocharger Wastegate Solenoid A Low & P1312 - Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Malfunction. Anybody have any idea on those? I have an appointment with EQ june 8th to finish up my full E85 tune, so should I just leave it until then to deal with it?
Ed, maybe you can chime in too perhaps the guys will be able to take care of these issues?
****, my car always has issues....like you said, HAHA.
Thank so much!!! =]

A few questions:
Why would you pay for a 60K service when more than half of the items needing attention you had declined?
Did you sign an estimate BEFORE work began?
Why would you drive your car w/o a full & complete tune?

Most of the things that I requested to be taken out (oil change, oil filter, spark plugs, air intake filter) I had already done myself a couple days prior but the spark plugs were 1 step colder and had recently been changed so I didn't need them to do that which also saved me lots of money. I will change my CAI filter myself because I'm pretty damn positive subaru doesn't carry extra CAI filters with them.
As for the tune, EQ wasn't able to finish the full tune because we ran into some knocking issues, but speed element was able help with that a couple days ago so we got that issue taken care of.

The codes are not a big deal. The first one is for the boost solenoid being unplugged and the second is for the missing EGT sensor in the UP cat. I can disable those when you come in for the tune and they won't hurt anything for now.
So what did they actually do for this "60k service"? I believe that part number is for your trans fluid.
Thanks

For the 60K service, I had them not change engine oil/filter/spark plugs/air intake filter. Things they didn't do were add anti corrosion battery pads, subaru fuel system treatment, and replace cabin air filter they said I didn't have one?
Going off the checklist, they did do...
-Inspect condition of P/S fluid & top off
-Drain and refill trans/auto transaxle fluid
-Drain and refill front and rear differentials
-Drain and refill coolant
-Rotate tires
-Measure and record tire tread depth
-Set tire pressures
-Inspect brake linings/rotors
-Flush brake hydraulic fluid
-Adjust parking brake
-Inspect batter/battery cables/charging system
-Inspect exterior lamps
-Replace wiper inserts
-Inspect AC system
-Inspect steering/suspension/axles
-Inspect belts/hoses
-Lube door/hood hinges
-Inspect for oil leaks/coolant leaks/exhaust leaks
-Road test vehicle (5 miles)
-Add maintenance reminder
