Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

EASY question. Turboback exhaust.

Nothing too complicated. Just removing the stock heatshield from the old downpipe to get to the bolts and everything else is just basic bolt on. Might wanna pick up a can of WD40 to get those bolts loose and if the parts are used, new gaskets for it. Besides that you should be good.

P.S. You will need a mechanical fix

Something that looks like this for the 02:

Good Luck

Cool! Thanks for the tips guys. I have PB Blaster (a rust penetrant and lubricator) at work and special exhaust hanger tools that should do the trick well.

second question...

estimated time to do this? it will be on a lift thankfully.

2 hours maybe, give or take depending on the bolts being hard to take off.

time

I'd say 2 hours is plenty. but you should take your time. and do it right the first time.
make sure you check the clearance of the piping when you are done.
