I'm just curious... has anyone here ever attempted to use a dual stage turbo on a WRX? Like the Toyota Supra setup?
I'm sure engine management would be a nightmere, but there has to be some pretty crazy potential there

 

There was a stock setup by subaru with twin turbos. But, I dont think it was like the supra (I'm not familiar with the supra's setup).

There are a few out there, this is the one i could find the easiest.

These are not like the Supras either. The supras like the FD RX-7's uses a sequential turbo system, where this set up has two independant turbos. A sequential turbo system on our cars would be stupid IMO, when you can get the the same or more power with the same or better spool responce with less cost and fabrication.

 

That setup is insane...but would be even more impressive if he had reversed the intake manifold!

I'd hate to get in a front end collision with that though :S
