Down/Up pipe Questions
Hi,
Was thinking about getting a Down and up pipe for my STi!My question's are What is the best brand"what kind u have"?Will the CEL come on"if so any 02 simulator's i can buy or make!"?Will the up and down pipe change the boost pressure? Last question, Will the car sound the same with the up and the Down pipe?
Thank You for your time,
Adam

I don't have an STI but I believe that it comes from the factory with a catless uppipe. Therefore there are no gains to be had from replacing it.
When I installed a Bosal downpipe in my WRX I noticed slightly higher boost. It makes some noises from the turbo now. Not much from the muffler, just under the hood. Yes you will need something to fix the cel you'll get from the downpipe.

i thought the sti's ecu were able to trace any mods that tinker with sensors? and if you bring it in for warranty work, and if the workers are able to trace it back to your mod, they'll reject you?

try godspeeds downpipe... Dan over there has already done some testing of it on the STI and it will not trigger a CEL...
as someoone pointed out you don't need to mess w/ your uppipe its already catless...
The next step for the sti then is probably some sort of engine management before you make to many changes... I'm assuming their will be a utec out for it by the end of the year and an emanage will do fuel now if you need it.
