Did I get the right uppipe gaskets?

I ordered two uppipe gaskets from subaruparts.com to use with my Invidia uppipe. I'm not installing it til next weekend, though. I got gaskets for both ends of the uppipe. One end fits fine, it's a regular-looking gasket. It's the other side (the turbo side, I believe) that looks like it might not be the right one. I'm just not sure if it's how it's supposed to be. Here are a few pictures...

This is the one that is fine:

This is the one that I'm not sure about how it fits. The holes line up... but there are 5 holes on the flange, and only 3 on the gasket. Is this normal?

Thank you. The part numbers are 44022AA150, and 44022AA170... I think the one I'm concerned with was the 170 one

I've got an extra stock turbo lying around the house that came off my 03 WRX. I just went and checked the intake side (where you bolt up your uppy) to confirm that it will fit, and yes, it will. The flange on the turbo is actually the size and shape of your gasket you ordered. The extra size and holes on your aftermarket uppipe is probably for bolting up to a different sized turbo, more for a universal fit. So rip that catted thing off your car and and start having fun!

FYI, I've heard that the copper gaskets from Crucial Racing provide the most reliable seal (but again, that's just hearsay from other postings).

Looks like the right gaskets though - good luck!

Awesome. Thanks a lot guys. I was kind of skeptical since the shapes didn't exactly line up, and I have heard how much of a PITA uppipe leaks are so I wanted to be sure before I threw this sucker in. It's going in next weekend along with the rest of my turboback and Cobb AP I could put it in now but I'd rather do it all at once and feel a nice jump in gains

I have the invidia up/down and I had the exact same concern when I did my install as you. Trust me though, it is completely normal! The stock gasket that is on there is that same shape and the stock up pipe has the same bolt pattern. the 3 bolts that the gasket cover are the bolts that actually go into the turbo, the other bolts go into the up pipe bracket, they dont need to be sealed. Good Luck with the install- mine was PITA- my invidia downpipe had the threads crushed in the 02 sensor bung, so I had to have a shop cut off the old one and weld a new one on. Just take your time on the install and be really patient, especially with the up pipe removal. There were many times when I had to take a break and calm down because when I get frustrated, things get broken!

Yeah I am making sure I have everything ready for the install, and I am definitely going to take my time. Gonna get the car up on ramps Friday night, then start working Sat. morning when it's nice and cool. Should I leave (what's left of) the stock gasket on there, and put this one on top of it? Or do you think that would possibly cause leaks? I thought I had read somewhere that you can double up the gaskets as a safe-guard but who knows. Good to know that I'm ready to go, though... just sucks that I gotta wait a week to put this junk in!

DO NOT PUT 2 GASKETS IN THERE!!! Thats deff. the right gasket. Just take your time and make sure you match up everything you take off to replace in that order.

There is such a thing as putting in 2 NEW gaskets to ensure a good seal, but in this case one will be sufficient. You should never double up an old gasket with a new one, it pretty much defeats the whole purpose of sealing it.
