Had mine on for a month now. Great power gains, beautiful finish, ok fit.
As usual, there was a fight to get it on, and eliminate the leaks. But after all is said and done, the STI screams like a banshee. Got the DC Sports flex uppipe and Catback Exhaust mated to a Helix catless downpipe. The thing sounds like a damn racecar.

Yes they are. The brace is for a GC8. I removed the subframe and cut off some tabs to make it fit. The details of this will be in a project write up soon.

I got mine at a special deal so my price would not apply. I checked the DC sports website and found this MSRP pricing. As far as I can tell, the second one is the polished stainless, the first one I have no idea what the finish is.

Subaru*WRX*2002-03 WRX/WRX STi
STH4301b $721.99
Subaru*WRX*2002-03 WRX/WRX STi
STH4301s $823.75

According to the Borla site, they sell the headers for $569 online and they are 50 state Carb legal. The DC sports are intended for racing and probably produce larger horse power gains but do not carry the Carb approval. The DC Sports headers win the appearance hands down.

-Hope this helps (a pic of the Borla header to compare to the pics in my earlier post)

Does anyone know if the Boral would have a better fit or be easier to install?

Exclamation

Odered my Borla a few days ago and it has already been delivered to the install shop... having it done on tuesday.

Got mine on a special for 389.00..... 414.00 shipped. It has gone up to 449.00 since i bought it. Here is the link.

http://www.kastleskorner.com/store/p...roducts_id=716

From what i've been told these have no fitment issues at all.... goes in perfectly no twisting or wrestling and give some of the best power increases across the midrange torque curve and up high. I have a decent amount of mods and i just did the EcuTec reflash so this should top it off nicely untill i get my FP Green ..PE650's and pump in next season...... just in time for Shive to come back for another tune..

They say that you should wrap the header before putting it on because it will help retain the heat, because its steel and not cast iron it's tendancy is to cool much quicker affecting thermal velocily... which we all know is what spins the turbine on the exhaust side of the compressor.

Good Luck... im looking forward to seeing some nice gains....

-K
