my friend has it, it sounds good. but not as good at the turbo xs thats what i would go with its a 26.5 hp gain at the wheels. i asked cobb how much their turbo back exhaust gained they said 10 at the wheels. so the choice was easy for me, go here http://www.fastwrx.com/turfulturexs.html and you can download a sound clip of it. (this is the exhaust i am getting in march)

Subaruwrx511,
I think there might have been a communication error somewhere.
TurboXS TURBO-BACK has a gain of 26.5hp but COBB does not have a Turbo-back they only have a CAT-BACK (good for 10 hp)and that is what they were quoting you. COBB does not have a downpipe.
Clear as mud, right?

on cobbs web site under dealers i email one of them by me and asked how much wheel hp does the turbo back exhaust add and they said 10 (they never said that they didnt have a turbo back only a cat back) but here is the website that i was at off of cobbs web page under dealers http://www.fi-systems.com/products/show_products.asp and they do have a turbo back on there so maybe were both a little confused?? i know i am now.

Subaruwrx511,
Forsed Induction Systems sell two different exhaust systems.
1. APS High-Output Exhaust System for $1140 - This is a full Turbo-back exhaust. Should be good for over 20 HP.
2. COBB Tuning Cat Back Exhaust for $575 - Just a Cat-back. This is the one good for 10 HP. It was tested by Turbo Magazine and can be viewed http://www.mattrandolph.com/wrx/cat-...omparisons.htm
I see your from Dallas and that you have been to the COBB website. I spend most of my time in the COBB forum, several of us are meeting in Dallas on Feb 15 for dinner, If your interested I can give you more information. Let me know.

If you could only buy one piece of exhaust at a time the ideal order would:
Uppipe then downpipe then mid-pipe then axle-back. Basically the concept is to get rid of the cats first to gain maximum HP. So, if you have the money for a cat-back it would be better to save up untill you could get the full turbo-back + uppipe and do it all at once.
My 2c,
Matt
