i think ive got a bird stuck somewhere in my exhaust. i get this irratating chirp coming out of my muffler. everytime i rev the car i can hear the chirp. does anyone know what im talking about? it makes the sound at the end of the rev normally, but sometimes at cold start ups it makes the sound too, but very very faintly.
my only guesses to what it is, is the exhaust hangers, but i was applying pressure to two of them and it was still there.
anyone have a clue to what i should do?

HAHAHA. Check out your exhaust tips. There are these little holes that allow water to fall through.

 

LOL you serious??? those damn two holes are what's causing the frickin chirps? that sucks...is there anyway to get rid of it?

 

Yeah i know isn't it funny . Just plug up the holes w/ something that can take the heat.

 

I would get the car off the ground, start her up, and listen. Have someone rev it a little for you so you can stick your head under and get an idea of where its coming from.

 

yeah, i think its those wholes on the exhaust tips as well that's creating that sound.

 

we have had another customer with this problem. Plug the holes

 

Clean the area well with soap and water....let dry...put a piece of tape(duct tape works well) on the outside...apply some fast cure epoxy over the inside of the holes....let the epoxy cure....remove tape.....bird dead.

 

get a catback, problem solved

a catback costs so much, but i can always get a new axelback from you!

 

did you try stuffing the holes with wood/cork? it won't damage the steel and it's cheap

gum melts, it's not going to work. but you already knew that didn't you? you could just weld the holes shut.
