i installed the helix v3 catless dp and installed the mechinical fix but the engine light still comes on and sometimes it backfires... any suggestion on what I should do.

i do have a hks BOV and a hks hi power exhaust... you know how much tuning is? can someone plug in their accessport and map it and unmarry it to fix it?

 

when you said fix did you mean w/ a spacer or resistor.....

 

Tuning around the bay area seems to be anywhere from 200-300$ an hour. I don't think you can use the accessport like that, but I could be wrong. Your car is probably running very rich and you should look into a tune.

Take off the BOV put back the stock one and get it tuned ASAP!

oh and An access port is married to an individual car and cannot be transfered without divorcing it from the owners car... Then when you install it onto yours it's only good for your car...

You should get the check engine light read. You should be fine with the mechanical fix and BOV.

Did you reset your ecu?

getting it tuned is a good idea. but not for just installing a down pipe. keep you stock bov back on. reset ecu. and try again.

why do you have a CEL? because youre car doesn't like something! The majority of us DO NOT have ESP and therefore don't know whats wrong with your car. Are you sure you put the mechanical fix in correctly? Did you install both parts at one time? Do we have any suggestions? Go to Kragen, borrow the code puller, and find out what the code is.
