yes you can run a front mount and yes it will work.

BUT....is it the best way to go for a vf39. not in my opinion.

Get yourself a bigger top mount. If all you care about is looking fast then get a big blinging FMIC.

I'm running...

a hybrid APS DR725piping/WBR core with my VF-39 on an 04 STI

a friend with an 06 STI has the Ebay SSAC FMIC wtih his...

a friend with an 03 VF-34 WRX with a Blitz FMIC

We were all recently protuned, and our cars came up on top with this and supporting mods...prior to the protune, I really didn't notice that much lag...maybe I adjusted my driving style...

here in Hawaii, heat is a factor...the fmic helps...

My main reason for upgrading to a FMIC is that I cannot afford to make a huge Stg4 jump...I have to buy items in stages...with the FMIC out of the way, I can now focus on Injectors/FP/Turbo...I may have to buy and install the injectors, fuel pump, and maybe an inlet pipe...then focus on the Turbo...patience...
