CA Smog Test
CA Smog Test
So I have a SPT short ram intake, and a greddy TI-C catback exhaust on my 05 WRX, and i was wondering if I have to do anything to pass the San Diego, Ca smog test. I hear a lot of this and that hubba bubba, but out of everything ive read so far, it seems as though i should pass right?

spt intakes are smog legal as long as you have the carb sticker. and the catback is legal as long as you have a stock downpipe and up pipe

SPT won't give a sticker for that intake anymore even though it's got a carb number, it still comes up valid on the carb site. But if there is no sticker on it, it won't pass the visual. that's the main reason I got rid of mine for a K&N typhoon.
I have an spt intake, cat back and a bosal up pipe. I have had no issues passing Ca. smog. It depends on where you go. I have a carb sticker on my intake and you can't really see the up pipe in a visual inspection so long as the car is warmed up you should be fine.

The normal smog people can't usually see the up pipe, I passed years ago when I had my 18g on the car.
