built 2.5 motor
so right now ive pretty much maxxxxed out my 2.0L setup on my wrx... ive done a lot of thinking and have decided to take the next step... i've been looking at getting 2.5L block with some forged pistons... i've been looking at a few companies that sell an OEM sti block with forged pistons already put together. Axispowerracing (now Raw1 i belive) sells a "stage2" block like this. I've also been looking at GST's assembled 2.5 block with forged pistons, and Crawford's. (Maybe FLi as well) All of them are approximately 3k or cheaper. Pretty much just waiting on completing my research to decide on which one to go with... any input/experience? thanks guys!
i have a STi motor on my engine stand
im going to sell it to pay for my 2.2T motor build its more better
but the 2.5 is easier if you just go to GST and say hey install that

well i can tell you from personal doing that a built block is a lot more then some pistons lol, Doing a built block is gonna cost you big man, you got to pay to play lol. My built block cost close to 15k for everything. I went with the best parts you can buy so it don't have to cost you all that much lol. best of luck with everything man.

just finished my 2.5 build w/ 3000+ mi on it now, the key is doing the build RIGHT. find a GOOD machinist for measuring and matching.. but like everyone else says lol. it gets expensive just because of the fact that youre going to say.."hey might as well replace the oil pump, water pump, gaskets, pistons, rods, bearings, oh..the ej25s gonna need a bigger turbo too lol, wait need larger injectors cause mine will max out, how bout the heads? might as well do larger valves and cams, and wow my clutch is 20% maybe i should replace that along with resurfacing the flywheel. oiling is a big deal now with the built motor, maybe i need an oil pressure gauge. then there is the head work, etc. haha, it can be a headache, or if a baller shot collar, pay someone trustworthy bank to take the headache for you.
