Bov Question

Is it possible to remove a BOV? I'm afraid it may not be beneficial to the engine. I bought this car with it already installed.

You do NOT remove a BOV

Its entire purpose is to ensure you don't have extreme boosts at low rpm which would be detremental to your engine.

If you want you can replace it with another brand.

Yes, you can remove it, but you need to replace it with another or a stock wrx recirculatory valve.

If the car is not heavily modified...find a stock one. A lot of aftermarket atmospheric BOV's will cause the car to idle like crap. But yes, u can remove it as long as u replace it with another and I suggest a recirculatory one.
