BORE OUT TGV'S Can I do it????
Hey I just picked up a set of STI TGV del. housings. They have a split in them on the fuel injector side. I want to know if i can cut out the flat side on the inside of the TGV housing to make it round. Does the fuel injector need that flat plate in there for something. I have not taken appart my motor yet to see how they heads mating surface to these look. I do not want to have to leave my car appart if I can modify these first. Any one have any experiance or maybe detailed picks of the intake side of the head I can check out???

Yes, this is fine to do. Several shops will do this service for you or you can just get the JDM TGV delete risers that don't have this mixing plate in the first place. Have fun. One tip - use a hacksaw to take out most of the material before you start grinding.

Well I thought these were JDM seeing that they dont have the valve in them. I was under the impression that all US spec Subaru's with turbos had them? Thats atleast what the Sub Tech told me.

They very well could be JDM, but the STi RA Spec C TGV risers are completely open. Check this out:
