Boost spike problem
There should be a restrictor between the T and FBC. Are you missing it? The pic shows a 3/16 mod which is a restrictor that allows more air to pass through than the oe restrictor will. I tried this mod and ended up going back to the OE restrictor. If you are missing this and can't get the OE restrictor I'd suggest the 3/16 until you get the OE unit.

ok yeah i do have something like that.... looks like factory tho.... just to make sure i have the fbc hooked up correctly.... the nipple that comes out from the side goes to the intake and the bottom goes to the "t" right?
You have it hooked up right. Do all the lines fit snug on all the fittings? If they do you may want to try cleaning the FBC if you can't find someone to lend you theirs for a test drive. I'm not saying this is definitely your problem but it's always best to start simple. A loose fitting was the culprit when I had this problem so hopefully you luck out like I did.

im gonna replace all the hoses today and zip tie everything real good.... just wondering how do i clean the fbc? whats the best way without damaging it.... i found the person that owned the car be4 me and i talked to him, he had a mbc on and an up-pipe and he said that when he put everything back to stock it started to have that boost problem.... and the whole time that he had the car the fbc just sat in the engine bay
That's good to hear. Allot of people have had the same problem after running a MBC. The FBC gets all gunked up and causes boost spike. I cleaned mine with carb cleaner and here is a link that tells you how to do it http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...ht=boost+clean .
BTW, I'd try to avoid getting carb cleaner in the hoses. Clean them with compressed air or a pipe cleaner.

changed the hoses, cleaned the fbc still the same thing... just waiting on the dealership, they said that they will give me a new fbc so just waiting on that
Have you tried adjusting the WG arm? Are you getting the FBC for free or are they going to charge you for it? Sounds like a freebie.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya.

ok im done..... i just made a home depot mbc for 4 dollars..... 1st gear@10psi.....2nd-5th Gear @11psi.... rock solid no spike or creep.... im happy now... at least i dont have to worry about overboost... MORex, Cbf246 thank you for all your help....
Did the dealer back out on the free FBC? I'm glad to hear the spike is gone but you should be able to hit 13ish psi. If you keep the MBC on the car make sure to watch for PTFB (partial throttle full boost). I've never ran a MBC but from what I've read it's not the best choice on the 04's without EM because of PTFB and the OL/CL transition.
