boost drop-off
hey guys, i haven't been on in a while. but i got a quick question. my car boosts hard up until the top of the rpm range, then it drops off. why would it do that? it never has before. is it a boost leak? or vacum hose? any ideas will be greatly appreciated. later guys

It's not the turbo that is lowering boost.
The factory ECU will lower boost at around 5k and up. You will peak out at 14psi or so and then taper down to 10 by redline. This is normal.
The "fix" to this is to add some sort of aftermarket boost control, ala MBC or EBC...
Word of caution, no tuner that I know of when tuning a car makes boost hold till redline.
