boost controller and bov on stock wrx

Hi.

I was wondering is it safe to run a boost controller safely on a stock wrx without changing anything?

and if buying a bov would solve any pressure issues?

thanks.

unlike many other turbo cars, wrx doesn't do well with both boost controller and bov

as a matter of fact, these two things are known to be "deadly" for a stock wrx...
They are two of the top ranked worst mods that you could get.......

search for both bc and bov on the forum and you will know what I am saying

A boost controller is the single LEAST safe mod you can do on a WRX, especially 04 and up. BOVs are at least just useless rather than actually harmful.

Its generally safer to keep the stock BOV on your car unless you have the mods that support it. If you have a huge turbo (which you said your car was stock) then it might be better to use an aftermarket BOV. As for boost controllers on your stock turbo, this is a no-no.

Read thise BOV faq put together by unabomber over at nasioc.com:

Also read his turbo faq which as a lot fo info on boost controllers:
