Bolt on or Weld on?

I am thinking about getting an HKS SSQV BOV, would it be better to get a bolt on kit, or the universal weld on one? Anyone have experience with it?

bolt on is always better because u can take it off if u dont want it or u want to upgrade, or if u dont pass smog. welding is just too messy for a wrx. i think... someone enlighten me

what are the chances of a bolt on parts coming loose while driving, and that the car dies out in the middle of the street?

Bolt-on. Yes, welding is permanent and theoretically more reliable, but welding aluminum is a pain in the *** and e/or expensive. Bolt on is easy, you can change it later if need be, and it's plenty reliable.

ya bolt on is perfect. welding is lazy and messy. thats wat i think, it takes more effort to bolt on exhaust system rather than welding. because welding is like painting. u can make any angle strokes.

the only thing you should really weld onto a car is a roll cage. thats the only reason why you should weld.

yea.. but the thing is my friend took his car to get a new straight pipe welded on to the flanges and those guys did a messy job. i have to say if u want welding make sure u goto the right place otherwise ur gona end up paying for some lazy welders who just want the money.
