Blitz Nur Spec touring exhaust

Hey guys whats up? I have a few questions about the Blitz Nur Spec touring exhaust. First off, I have heard the regular Nur Spec and love the sound of it with or without the silencer in. I have to admit that the sound without the silencer is a little too much for my taste. How does the touring exhaust sound? I am looking into buying an exhaust in the near future and just needed some information. Thanks for your help

The touring is considerably quieter than the standard Nur-Spec. I haven't heard it in person yet but from the reviews I've read in Option Magazine it's part of the new trend of quieter, yet sill high-performing touring exhausts that meet JAMSA noise level standards (under 98dB).
So I guess that you can say that it should be under 98dB yet still sound like a junior version of the standard Nur-Spec.

98 is still loud. considering our stocks are what... 89? 98 seems like a lot. Invidia is good... but i read in certain reviews that they get very little gains compared to exhausts like HKS.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2454775324

problem is that i don't get why there are two models. one has a short tip and canister style muffler. the other one look like the Greddy EVO. plus, 6.4 hp gain.. weak... anyone know the diff between the canister and EVO style?

sorry. i don't mean to hijack you post. i'll dig up something about the blitz.

your not hijacking my post that is a nice Invidia on ebay I like it. thanks for the help guys i think i may just go with the Nur spec instead, its easier to get and plus its not that bad with the silencer in. I travel a lot and when your car drones for 100+ miles, it gets annoying. Choku Dori, how can you read Option magazine? Do they have an English version I should know about????? Thanks for all your replys. Oh another question I have is some exhausts that are three inch models, I have heard of running into problems installing it due to the stock piping being smaller. Is this something that all of you guys have run into? Thanks once again.

Souda na!! (Translation: bingo!)
Escaflowne: 98dB is quiet compared to the (about?) 104 or 105 of the regular Nur Spec. Remember, sound essentially doubles in volume every 6 dB or so... And the Touring is not necessarily 98dB, what I meant was that it's under 98dB (since I can't conjure up its exact number right now )
I wouldn't go for the Invidia... I've heard lotsa bad stuff about them ever since they broke away from RS*R. And while I'm at it, the RS*R Ex-Mag series is a pain in the *** to install with the stock downpipe.

Sumimasen,

the Invidia has some fitment issues. Do a search on most of the popular forums. 3db is about the smallest amount of volume increase the average human can discern. 6db is not too much. Watashi no nihongo joozu ja nai. Biru o onagai shimasu!

The GReddy

is one of the QUIETEST exhausts that makes good power. Sounds nearly stock. It has some minor fitment issues also. Can't comment on the Prodrive.

My Japanese

used to be mediocre, and I prefer Asahi "Super Dry". But the Asahi here just isn't the same as the real stuff.

Hey folks! When the Touring came out some time last year I did get a chance to hear it and man is is a sweet sound!! It IS quieter then the Racing Nur Spec by far. I think that it tested around 96db if I remember correctly. I didn't think to get any sound clips then because we didn't keep any of them in stock for to long because they were so rare to get in the US. The Racing Nur Spec is around 105db and is one of the loudest exhausts out there!

Blitz in retrospect decided to make an exhaust with about the same HP gains of the Racing (13.1) but with more sound defining design in the rear muffler. So you can actually hear what the person is saying next to you. But from the customers that bought one from me they absolutely loved the look and sound of them!!

I hope that this helps! Let me know if I can do anything else!

Brian
