Could you explain your setup some more Joel. Sounds cool I would just like to know how you did it.

Perma cool offers what they call a remote mount oil filter kit. It usually runs anywhere from $40-60 it includes hose, one filter bracket etc. and they also offer one with dual filters for usually around $20-30 more. I've done this with all the turbo cars I've ever owned. Granted, there are more places where you could have a leak, but I'm pretty ****, so I usually never have any. Plus they use the standard 5.0 filters (which you can find anywhere) plus the oil gets filtered twice, and increases the amount of oil in your engine. More money when changing, but for me the piece of mind is more than worth it. The install is pretty easy, use some self-tapping screws where ever you want, attatch the braket, screw on the adapter (with a thin coat of oil, just like you would with a normal filter) run the lines, clamp them, zip-tie (or whatever you dream up that's classier) the hoses out of the way. Screw in two huge 5.0 filters, (which are satisfying to hold after throwing your dinky oem filter lol) and fill her up. usually I'm running somewhere around 6.2 quarts, so save the rest of the other one so the next time you only have to buy 6 quarts instead of 7. Unless you like spending $5 on .2 quarts lol. I love this mod because it's cheap, it's preventative maintenence, cools my car, and more fresh clean oil never hurt any car, especially a turbocharged one. OK, I think I've said enough. Oh, I forgot to add. It's helpful ( I have one) if you're scared about leaks, to have an oil pressure guage in the cabin. But you should already have one of those anyways right guys??
