Best Downpipe+Uppipe?

I've been trying to decide on which catless downpipe+uppipe combo is the best for my car's performance.
-Came across Invidia and heard that their divorced wastegate is really goodand I'm leaning more towards Invidia's side. Only thing bugging me is the CEL sensor. I've seen that there are many ways to fix this.
-Resistor
-Cobb Accesport or other personal electronics(too much money though)
-Visiting a tuner
-02 Sensor Spacer

I'm driving a 03 wrx. Questions i have-----

Will this 02 sensor CEL fix work for me for Invidia http://www.voodooboost.com/performan.../O2_Simulator/ (the 2 pack one is needed right?)

Or how much will it cost for a tuner to do the CEL fix for me? I live by Chicago in Illinois.

Any suggestions or anything about the Invidia product or on what im planning to remove the CELare GREATLY appreciated.
Thx

**also, the invidia UP+DP will fit on a stock 03 exhaust correct?

Seems like your doing some good research there.

Not to take away from your questions or your post, but Getting a UP + DP without a tune isn't the best way to go. Personally, I'd say get yourself a V1 accessport which would be cheaper since V2 has come out and get that in your car first before thinking about changing your UP + DP.

That way, when you do make the change from the oem UP and DP, you will actually get the power out of those mods.

I can't imagine a used V1 being much more expensive than a UP and DP, unless you go used.

Just my .02

agreed.
it would ok if you got the up/down pipes first since you have an 03 and won't have any boost spike or boost creep issues.
a used accessport v.1 goes for about 350-400 nowadays.

yeah the invidia pipes will fit.

Since you are in a bugeye you are OK without E.M., but you will get better gains if you are running SOME sort of tune with your mods. I'm a big fan of the titek downpipes (haven't used their uppipes but I have heard they are just as good) because awesome fitment and perfect welds. They are also affordable!

I've been looking for a cheap v1 around sites, even ebay but they are all 350 + don't have that much money at the moment to buy with my dp+up at the same time. Ill try classifieds and see what i can get from there.

But if i have to get the car tuned anyways cuz of performance gains from the pipes i wont even have to worry about the sensors. or cuz since i have an 03 that i dont even have to worry bout them in the first place?

hey i read your other thread about what exhaust you have.

since you're unsure id reccomend you try your best to measure your downpipe to make sure you don't have a jdm length exhaust.
because if you get a usdm downpipe it'll be too long for the jdm exhaust and you'll have to get it cut and welded and it's a big PITA!

How would i know?

It happened to me :damnit:

okay nvm.

basicly you just have a cut off point that let the exhaust exit before even go thru the catback. good idea.

but dont it blocks the flow at that split part?
