The Bad News Bare

Hey all i just got some bad news that my dad wont buy me a turbo WRX. So i was wondering if i could get a NA one and just find a crashed Turbo WRX and use the parts from it? also if i could what all part would i need to pull frome the Turbo WRX?? thanks

the Bare is ment to stand for NON-Turbo ...get it?

You can get the RS and put a wrx motor in it.

Is thats it? i cant take just the turbo and pipes, intake???

So the main diff. in WRX and 2.5 RS is the motor? no brakeing or trim?

Or you can always buy a turbo kit for the RS.

well lets say they both make the same power and both are same relieablieity (spell wrong for sure) what would be the better way to go money wise?

Well you can only boost 9 PSI on the EJ25's stock internals (Im pretty sure) and you can boost a EJ20 to 15.5 PSI on stock IC and turbo.

How much do WRX motors go for...i can do the swap myself....would i also have to grab the ECU???

I think i saw a vendor selling everything needed to do a swap for 4700.

Motor, tranny and ECU. I think you need a few other parts as well.

if you want something really cool and not that crazy expensive, buy a 2 door 2.5 rs, pretty cheap, then swap all the wrx stuff into, it is fast and stylish, a guy here in vegas did it, sweet.

add some fendor flares and upgrades and you have a US 22B, awesome!!!

Yeah, thats what im probably gonna end up doing. Get a 93 or 94 impreza L AWD and throwing in the EJ20.

not a suprize that a parent wouldn't buy you a $20K car.

the only car my dad ever bought for me was a $250 88.5 Ford Escort POS..

Time to get a job and start saving pennies or get a reality check and go buy a used car for under 5K
