Their intercoolers, exhaust, fuel rails, etc are pretty top notch parts. BUT, I personally do not like their turbo's. Because they tend to boost spike alot. I think the wastegate has something to do with it. I'd take an HKS GT series over an APS any day of the week. Even a PE or Greddy turbo would be better.

Their turbos are pretty damn expensive but they do perform better than most of the turbos on the market.

Aps...

I went to their site and I was really impressed with the quality of their products especially the FMIC(Black), Up-pipes, Exhaust system, etc.

My car has some minor upgrades now including complete exhaust from the headers to the catback, cooling system, vf-22 turbine, fuel system, etc.

I'm planning on upgrading from 2.0L to 2.8L(I-speedusa.com) and do a complete Stage 4 Head Package(also I-speed) w/APS components from their FMIC's to the biggest APS Turbo available.

I'm shooting for 500WHP+...

Tuning...

I have the HKS EVC Pro 5 Boost controller, and HKS S-afr now and I'm waiting for the HKS F-Con stand alone fuel system to come out for the WRX. I might used MoTec but I'd prefer one brand when dealing with electronics.

Tuning Cont...

Depending on the situation and schedule I'd rather bring the car to I-speed's shop and let them tune the engine to its highest potential...

APS is super popular in Australia for WRXs from what I hear. Checkout their video of the 350z zipping around the mountains, pretty impresive. I have the APS air splitter and my butt-dyno told me that I had slightly better top-end (just a tiny bit) at about 70mph in 3rd gear. Don't know though...

Their intercoolers look really quality especialy their fin design, they protect the tops of the fins. They test their stuff pretty scrutinously from what I have read.

It seems like all of the ausie companies have been dealing with modifying Subarus since the dawn of time (whiteline, MRT) so I would really trust their experience and quality.

If you own a shop, you can have a APS rep come to your store to answer any questions. Luckily, I was at my local tuning shop while an ausie APS rep came to look for more dealers. He told me about their history with Subarus and it seems as if they were there ever since the original impreza. just like what rustokman said, I would trust their experience and quality.
