APS (Air Power Systems) Components???

I'm looking to do a full exhaust do-over when I am ready. APS looks to be very high quality, and I guess you pay for what you get. Anybody have any experience on their products...

Also, I'm in california, So i would be getting a Turbo-back system with high flow cat, obviously no cat on the uppipe... or maybe go for another brand uppipe that would have a cat, I dunno, their quality seems unmatched... Also, these exhaust mods would be coupled with the AccessPORT stage 2...

I don't mind forking up more dough for the best possible products, I figure this aint no used civic that i got for 4,000 bucks, this is a mid 20k vehicle and I choose not to skimp on quality, even if it means waiting longer to do a certain mod...

Again, I'm not closed minded to other suggestions so...

Any suggestions or experiences would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Thanks in advance

(oh and yes, I have searched )

aps produces very good products. especially when it comes to front mount intercoolers. You'll probably want to buy an uppipe with no cat because no one sells uppipes with cats.

There is a local "tuner" shop in my area called Dyno-Comp, and the only third-party parts that they will install in Subarus are APS, period. They ONLY support and tune for APS intakes, uppipes, turbobacks and catbacks. For what it's worth, they have tuned 800+ WRXs in just two years, and they've got three STi models and a GC8 that put 450+ to the wheels (yes, you read that correctly!) sitting right there on the lot for a test drive...

As others have said, expensive, but well-built and well-tested. Their uppipe is one of the oddest-looking pieces you will ever see (it comes in three parts!) but once you see it installed you will understand exactly how it works and how much thought and engineering went into it.

Check out the dyno chart for the "Viper Killer" package...

thanks for all the input guys, without a doubt I AM sold on their product quality and R&D efforts. The proof is in the pudding. I decided I just love the sound of the HKS catback too much, so ill be opting for a Hiper system, with a COBB catted downpipe... I would go with the APS piece but I don't see it sold seperately.... But i will be buying that uppipe from APS, just looks too beautiful, and i dont mean externally... Even at the flex joint, the inside has a smooth lining to prevent turbulence, and keep the air flow smooth... I love their work... LOTS OF ATTENTION TO DETAIL...

again thanks all for the input and knowledge!

When I bought my WRX last december, the first part I got for it was the APS up pipe. It's a great piece of equipment and I love it. I got to see a few cars with different APS pieces on them and they are great. The only problem I have with APS isn't even part related. It's just too hard to get their parts. My local shop Passen Motorsports used to deal with them and no longer do and I am finding that most places are no longer getting their parts because of what they call "crappy service". lol But that's ok because when I get home I am still bolting on the FMIC, Turbo Back Exhaust, and cold air intake I ordered from the one place I found with stuff in stock left.

basically all i can say is APS is the sh*t! check'em out a www.airpowersystems.com
i would also suggest in purchasing aps products (since they're from australia) from either nationally (US) from GRDPerformance (aks genesis racing) or Dyno Comp in AZ. if you wanna get a good price and can pay shipping internationally try teages' they're at www.boxer4racing.com (aka boxer racing)
