Anyone for Titanium

Ok ladies and gents, i need you info. I would like to purchase an A'pexi N1 Titanium catback. Has anyone heard about these, they are not very popular. I need to know where to get one at a good price.
Another thing.... Does the n1 exhaust come straight out, or does it bend slightly at an angle. What exhaust bend at an angle. Show me those pics if you get em.

Thanks

Justin

Cyrus923 - Hey Justin, I haven't heard of a full Titanium Catback from Apexi....I know that Greddy is releasing their full Ti catback in about 3 weeks though. I will have a few of them if you are interested then let me know cuz they will be rare to get when they first hit!!

Thanks,
Brian

The Apex'i titanium isnt a catback its just an axleback and Mach V has them. Plan on shelling out some major dough for it because Mach V wants about 800 bones. Not worth it in my opinion. Yes the N1 does come out at an angle.

Apexi N1 and GT Spec are angled exhaust.

HKS Hi Power and Carbon Fiber Ti are angled exhaust as well.

TurboXS RFL Titanium (tip) is angled as well ( i think)

Here's a pic of my hks hi power grapefruit cannon being installed by Gino It's still wrapped up, but you can see the angle it is at. I'm sure if you do a search for the exhaust listed above (most likely pics in car member gallery) you'll see it as well. The apex and hks look the same but the Apex looks better IMO with its slightly smaller canister and tip.

Thanks turnwrx, now let me ask you guys another question, does the weight reduction for a titanium catback (can be full titanium or just the muffler) really warrent the extra cash invovled in purchase? I have seen some titanium exhaust weigh 6 pounds. And Do I really need the larger diameter in the GT spec. I plan to run around 350 whp and some tell me that the apexi GT spec is used for high HP applications and I would not get the max results from it.

Greddy makes a full titanium catback coming soon for the wrx. It weighs 10 lbs compared to 30+ lbs for my hks catback. It'll cost you around $1000 retail so probably can get it for 800-900. For the GT Spec, the piping is 3" compared to 2.5" for the N1. If you plan on running high hp apps, you would be better off with 3" piping.

i, too, am interested in the new greddy exhaust. However i want to hear the clips of it on the car first. Based from the info i read it seems to be a sweet exhaust.

on JIC's site they mention one of the benefits of the full titanium system was the titanium resonator. not sure what that means.. as far as I can tell from the pics the stainless version has a resonator as well. before I had mine installed I checked it out and the resonator section is actually a glass pack just like the muffler which I thought was pretty cool.

as for the sound.. I got the spartan DE type 2 titanium catback (not the N1 style muffler), and I looove the sound. it's not loud, just very deeep. sounds better than my brother's m3 and sounds NOTHING like a fartcan

Wow, for some reason that exhaust looks huge on the blue sedan, even though I had the CF/Ti, it never looked that big.. Hmm, I guess it's just the angle of the picture...

Gordy, that exhaust sounds really good. So does the BOV. What BOX do you have? also, does a'pexi make the spartan exhaust?
