anyone got a header on their wrx

anyone recommend on installing a header on the WRX I know HKS make one cusco and I know grupps has the replica one. has anyone install the header and like it, any comment is fine.

yes, have header on wrx. Do i recommend it? No. it didn't do much of anything. dyno chart shows a 1 hp increase in stock trim + header. Waste of money at lower stages, you won't need it until a lot of other things are done 1st.

i dont have the header your looking at but i have the borla header on my 02 wrx and noticed a big difference in power.
of course i have upgraded turbo, turbo back exhaust, mbc set to 16.5psi,pulleys,intake, ic hoses, tt supra fuel pump. i know alot of people say headers are worthless on the wrx or dont do much but love it and think its totally worth it! hope that helps

Headers supposedly don't do much for increasing power, but they can affect how quickly the turbo spools and throttle response.

Hi Guys,

I'm currently running a Borla Header on a customer 02' WRX with mild turbo upgrade, front Mount intercooler and lost of other stuff that goes along with it. There was a noticable reduction in spool time, and also a small top end pull increase in the 6000 plus area. The motor definatly breaths better with it, but I agree that only at much higher hp levels, this current car is in the 350hp range.
